      I purchased and installed my Samsung Xpress Color copier on 10/7/2014 It shows I have printed 647 copies on black, it is suppose to yield 2000+ before needing toner, but it is saying there is less than 4% and my copier is flashing a toner message. ??

      I have no idea except that you may be using more on large areas of print. That will use more toner.

      If it is the cartridge that came with your printer they are not filled all the way, so yes you may need replacement.

      I'm not certain, but the only Iron Oxide Pigment that I've ever seen, was Red (like rusty iron). The Black Pigment that, that I've seen, was Carbon-based.
